trachea. They are designed to provide respiration through the larynx along with normal
humidification and phonation. They consist of materials that have been fully tested for
biocompatibility.
Medical grade silicone is inert, biocompatible, and very smooth. slilcone smooth. Silicone
facliltates tube insertion and its nonstick characteristics may reduce adhesion, formation
and clogging.
